love the entire makeup of the Harrison. the laundry room could use a makeover but other than that I have no complaints.staff is a joy to speak with and Tray Holt ( leasing consultant) has definitely been a life saver and as helpful as possible

i lived in a studio apartment here for 4 months and honestly, it has major ups and downs. firstly, would like to say that kristyn & trey are some of the kindest and most understanding people. they were SO kind to my dog and i. theyâre are the absolute definition of who you want working in the office. also , i didnât get the name of the maintenance man but the tall man who wears the dread cap is so so kind. he met my dog and told me about his dog and wife. 100% the best maintenance man i have met and helped any time we had a problem. they earned this place 3 out of the 4 stars and if i could separate them from the overall experience theyâd get 5 stars. now that being said, i do think my boyfriend and i got lucky with the apartment we got, our apartment was decently clean when we arrived but definitely couldâve been better. we also went two weeks without hot water and finally received and email addressing the situation just two or three days before it was resolved which also left us with lukewarm water, not even hot water as it was prior. we also experienced a man banging on a neighbors door but it was quickly and effectively addressed by the office the next morning. there were also cops outside of the apartment constantly addressing some type of situation and there was an abundance of homeless people just walking around the complex. the people that lived there were nothing but kind though. also traffic is horrific pulling in or out of the apartment onto capital blvd but thatâs not a controllable problem just something to note. overall not a horrible experience but not the best. the place holds so much potential i just think they need stricter rules and regulations.

I have been at the Harrison apartment for approximately three months now things are really starting to get moving now that NHE Inc. has taken over as management⦠Kristen ,The new property manager has really done due diligence to make things right and I have had happy experience here so far ⦠I canât wait for summertime so we can hang out in the poolâ¦

I absolutely love this place. The management is spectacular. Whatever needs I have gets address. It is very peaceful. It is very well lit in the evening and at night through the day safety is number one feel free to come join the family. We would love to have you.

Edit: My issue has finally been resolved. I hope the new management takes this place to its full potential. Avoid The Harrison â Serious Issues Make This Property a Poor Choice The Harrison has potential, but the significant challenges far outweigh its appeal. Hereâs everything you need to know before considering this property: 1. Ownership Neglect and Management Turnover While the management team has changed several times, itâs clear theyâre constrained by the decisions of ownership. Ashley and Saige, who worked under AMC LLC, were excellent but left due to poor treatment and the ownersâ refusal to address critical issues like mold, plumbing, and resident concerns. Multiple managers have come and gone, leaving the property in constant disarray. 2. Leasing and Unit Issues ⢠When I moved in, my lease listed the wrong unit, adding unnecessary confusion. ⢠I was moved three times, and each unit was worse than the last. My final unit had a door that wouldnât lock, leaving me and my family vulnerable. ⢠One unit even had tadpoles living in the toilet, highlighting the poor maintenance standards. 3. Health and Safety Hazards ⢠Mold is pervasive, especially in the building to the left. Bathrooms have ventilation fans that make noise but donât function, leading to excessive moisture and worsening mold. ⢠Cooking is inconvenient and unsafe: Stovetops donât heat properly, portable cookers trip the circuit breaker, and thereâs no ventilation for smoke or odors. ⢠Patio doors lack screens, adding to the discomfort. ⢠Door frames are not secured, allowing large cockroaches to enter apartments freely. ⢠Alarms in the building constantly go off, sometimes throughout the night, with no assistance provided until 10 AM the next day, leaving residents frustrated and on edge. 4. Security Concerns ⢠Unauthorized access is a major problem. Drug dealers and members of the homeless community gain entry to the building because access codes are shared. ⢠Police have raided the property. I had to install cameras for my familyâs safety during visits. 5. Unethical Maintenance Practices The former maintenance man was caught entering my unit without permission, despite me explicitly telling him no. Thanks to my installed camera, I recorded him violating my privacy. He also took me into another tenantâs unit under false pretenses, claiming it was his, to show me his dog. This behavior was unethical and completely unacceptable. 6. Laundry and Mail Issues ⢠If you live on the second or third floor, youâll need to prop open the exterior laundry room door to access it because it isnât part of the keyless entry system. Unfortunately, this allows unauthorized individuals, including members of the homeless population, to enter the building. ⢠Mail is unsecured and accessible to anyone. I recommend getting a PO box to protect your deliveries. 7. Basic Amenities Are Unreliable ⢠I went weeks without hot water and had to pay for my own internet because the included service never worked. ⢠Maintenance issues like leaks, smells, and mold were consistently ignored. 8. Deposit Problems I left the property in good standing and paid my deposit in full (not using a prepaid or pay-as-you-go service). Despite this, I have not received my deposit refund, and no one has been able to resolve the issue. Final Thoughts While The Harrison is aesthetically pleasing and in a convenient location, these issues make it unsafe and unlivable. Prospective renters should think twice before signing a lease here. To the Owners: This property has potential, but significant changes are needed: ⢠Address mold, plumbing, and ventilation issues immediately. ⢠Secure laundry room access and mail delivery. ⢠Prioritize safety and enforce stricter tenant policies. ⢠Ensure basic utilities like hot water and internet are reliable. ⢠Refund deposits promptly. Iâd be happy to adjust my rating if the owners take actionable steps to resolve these issues and return my deposit. Itâs been 30 days. Until then, renters should proceed with extreme caution.

Ngozi has been an asset since sheâs joined as the property manager, sheâs very friendly, attentive and helpful. Issues that have been brought to her attention have been handled in a very timely manner, and she even follows up with tenants to make sure issues have been resolved. She takes a hands on approach and is very active in the community. Sheâs one of the reasons Iâm choosing to continue staying at this property for the time.
